Greetings from Los Angeles. I arrived on Sunday and immediately checked into my 18 floor hotel and dove straight into writing (instead of the infinity pool.) I was shocked by Monday afternoon, yesterday, that I was making music. Things move fast here in LA, so I am taking every second in. Trying to stay healthy, balanced, and inspired. I hope to squeeze in time Sunday to hit up the Ink-N-Iron Festival. I miss my band in New York City & my family that is now scattered all over the world!

Spent the morning with Lukas Burton at Kingsize Soundlabs listening to music for hours, preparing my adventures.

I spent Monday afternoon with David Sitek (TV on the Radio) at his hidden Glendale home. His team is absolutely hospitable and made me feel right at home. Sitek just renovated his studio, with plenty of natural light.

This is Alex. He is a bangle. He doesn’t work very hard.

I want to move to California and escape for a while.

Acoustic version of Moon Killer in the works? Wouldn’t that be rad.

This is little baby Evan. He is a bangle too.

It’s such a blessing to have support from friends, family, and my team. I am out here in Los Angeles alone making the music people with love & love to hate. One thing hit me yesterday after David Sitek firmly said, “Help yourself to anything” .. is that I going to help myself to everything, everywhere…
